2018 Wardrobe Post

Hello bats, and welcome to my wardrobe post! This is my first time participating in this time-honoured EGL tradition. It's difficult to take photos indoors in winter where I live, so please excuse the questionable image quality. I'm finally at a place where I'm pretty happy with my current wardrobe and I'm eager to start diversifying what I have a little bit.

My goals for next year:
† Add more red, white, and blue pieces to my wardrobe. I have enough black!
† Hunt down more solid Moitié pieces, especially from pre-2005.
† Start collecting Moitié floral pieces.
† Start getting into old school (especially old Meta and Baby) and ero.
† Make more hairpieces and accessories.

Anyways - onto the wardrobe! I'm supremely lazy, so I didn't take photos of all my stuff - namely shoes, accessories, jewellery, and items that I plan on selling soon - but all of my blouses and main pieces are here.

Moi-même-Moitié Iron Gate JSK (2006) 

The gothic holy grail! Mine is very faded compared to pretty much every other Iron Gate I've seen in peson, so I guess mine was thoroughly loved before I bought it - that makes me kind of happy in a way. If I can get the JSK in every colourway I'll have a holy trinity.

My best friend saw this dress for super cheap on Fril whil I was at work and bought it for me before anyone else could snag it!

This skirt is possibly the absolute worst thing I've ever smelled. I left it on a balcony for 2 weeks in the dead of winter and washed it in vinegar and detergent literally a dozen times before the smell completely came out. I guess it was cheap for a reason!

This print series is a testament to Moitié's quality. 13 years old and the print is still crisp, bright, and flawless. The skirt hasn't pilled a single bit - the only real sign of age is that the waistband button is loose! It also has a pocket.

Over the years I've owned and then sold Holy Queen in every single cut and colourway, but this is the one that I finally decided to keep!

Angelic Pretty Katrina OP (2014)

This dress is the only Angelic Pretty piece I've owned in my entire history of wearing lolita. I would consider AP to be my least favourite brand, but I love some of their lacy solid dresses and cutsews.

Based on the item number, this dress is probably from around 2001, but I can't find any product photos. I think it might have been intended to be worn as roomwear or casual wear. It's very soft and comfortable, and I love the pretty rose buttons!

This was my very first dream dress, and one of the first dresses I bought when I started wearing the fashion. It's still my favourite dress, and I hope to get every single colourway at some point.

This is the JSK I wore to my very first lolita meetup at Atomic Lollipop (RIP) in 2015. Frame Cross is such an underrated series...the shantung fabric with the glitter print is so beautiful.
